We need this hospital much more then a new 3rd runway Treliske is overcrowded and too far away we were told after people voted to leave the EU that the money would go to the NHS, Big joke I voted to stay because I know what a lying bunch of hypocrites this government is .

They are building up houses in Newquay, already we do not have enough schools, doctors and hospital facilities, yet they are talking about closing down our local hospital. It is rediculous for the locals at best, but then we have the summer trade and if we can't cope with our local trade how are we going to cope with the summer trade. People are going to suffer, not those who are closing the place down, but those that need it. Another point is that the main hospital in Cornwall is already suffering with overload, they will totally crumble without the small hospitals taking some the work load. What about jobs the unemployment is bad enough since the hotels shut down, self catering places don't employ the staff that the hotels did. It will spell disaster shutting down any of our small hospitals, but a holiday resort like Newquay would really suffer.

Community Nurses could not cope with all the extra patients that will need care in the community.

NUTS>>>> Who has dreamt up this one? Newquay in the summer, major accident..... roads are always blocked or slow moving traffic. How do you get to Truro?? On the radio not many days go by, saying please do not visit Treliske, it's on black alert. Get rid of all these people who come up with these stupid idea's.... then we would have enough money to pay for a proper health service.

All these new houses being built and no hospitals, doctors, schools etc to cater for the increasing population. Absolutely ridiculous!

Newquay is a popular tourist destination swelling an already expanding population. A minor injury unit is essential .

If all foreign visitors were made to payup front like we have to do when visiting other countries if we fall ill, the NHS would be save a lot of money, also if I cannot speak the language I am responsible to get an interpreter, NHS pays for interpreters for our foreign visitors. t trust me I talk from experience

Surely with all the houses being built in Newquay. The council should be thinking of building a bigger hospital not shuting one down.

We need this hospital to relieve the pressure from treliske, maybe the resources could be shuffled i.e. Some of our beds for palliative care only, possibly close a few of our beds and offer outpatient services such as dressings clinics/blood transfusions/dementia day centre which could keep people out of hospital but this local facility cannot go all together!

Please please do not close this valuable service. It has been of incredible help to me, saving hours of travel and lost working hours that I would have had if I had had to travel to Truro hospital. We are a growing town, let's not go backwards on our services.

Given our ever growing population we need more hospitals not less. Public transport is useless in Cornwall and therefore having to travel further will really have a detrimental impact on those most vulnerable.

This is a resource for so many people. Other hospitals are already stretched to breaking point. Don't close it- fight the Tory drive to run the NHS down!
