Fr. Altman speaks the truth of the faith that ALL priests and Bishops should be preaching. We stand by him - if his Parish is not asking to remove him, he should stay where he is. May God Bless and protest Fr. Altman.

We are rather upset that the current political atmosphere is dictating what our pastors can tell us regarding Christian values and principles. Fr. Altman is able to articulate very well how we feel.

Do not succumb to the pressure you may receiving, for please remember the only one we must answer to is God. You should not defrock Fr. Jame's Altman when priest such as James Martin, who truly spread heresy in the name of the church are allowed to remain as priest. Whatever you decide will be held for you or against you in God's judgement. I plead to you, please defend Fr. Altman and stand up for the truth. Be courageous. Remember Jesus Himself said in the Apocalypse 21:8 "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”... You have not been given a spirit of cowardice, but of Courage. Stand up! Defend him, us, the church, the truth!!!

As a 4th Degree Knight and EM at our church, I am very saddened to see the Bishop of La Crosse influenced by outside groups publicly supported by muckrakers in our society like George Soros.
These groups have one mission to make America a Godless society and you are helping them by your actions.
Fr Altman is not “ineffective “ as you state as one of two reasons for dismissal. It’s actually the opposite. The numbers speak for themselves of his effectiveness!!!!
As far as the second complaint, he may be an itch you cannot scratch and make it stop but that’s what makes him so special to that community. No priest/pastor is 100% loved by every parishioner. There is always a few who do not approve of how things are run.
You have forgotten that Jesus was a radical in his time and rubbed the Sadducees and Pharisees the wrong way. Please do NOT become as they! Remember what Jesus said in Luke 20:45-47. To many clerics of all faith have gone down the road to become a modern day Caiaphas!
