I go to Hampton University, my state is closed way past when this school wants to open up again. If we all go back and someone is unknowing carrying around Corona then the whole school is screwed.

I have been concerned for my scholarship since the pandemic because, although my situation has been shifted by force, the workload and expectations are if anything higher than before. Maintaining a 3.30 is hard enough as a transitioning freshman, please do not penalize us for a struggle that we did not ask nor plan for.

Please. I am begging you not to let my hard work go to waste for things outside of the realm of my control. We are sincerely trying to cooperate and understand that this isn’t ideal for anyone involved; but please consider that many students didn’t have a great midterm GPA and course amendments to syllabi are not necessarily going to be the best thing for the final grades students can receive. Extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary solutions for a school that is esteemed as THE Standard of Excellence.

The option portion can prove to be very beneficial for ALL students. Whether we are interested in maintaining a high GPA or to not be penalized due to circumstances outside of our control. Graduation is also a milestone and event that should not be cancelled, but a postponement until everything clears would be a great compromise and still retains the value of commencement exercises.

I have responsibilities at home that I cannot take care of while taking online classes. Due to the time zone, I am waking my family up inadvertently at ungodly hours in the morning
