In 2010 John Simm appeared in Shakespeare's Hamlet, at Sheffield Crucible, and the production scored a great success.
The actor has fans both domestically and worldwide who wished to see his performance but could not make the journey to Sheffield. The decision to film the play could open the production to untold numbers of people and thus make them happy.
Therefore, we respectfully ask Sheffield Theatres and BBC to allow filming and subsequent release of this production to DVD for the worldwide audience.

One hundred people have signed on to see this happen. It is exhausting to keep pushing for something that feels out of reach but knowing others care about this production keeps me moving forward.

Saw him perform 'Oh what a rogue and peasant slave am I' speech on TV. Mesmerising. More please.
I have a severe disability and so I can't get to the theatre at all, and I was gutted to miss this. I would be thrilled if this could be released on dvd.
Hamlet is my favorite play ever. I have heard nothing but praises of John Simm's performance, have seen his recitation of one scene on YouTube, and, as an American unable to attend the British production, would love to see this performance in its entirety.
huge fan of John from Life on Mars and just need to see him do Shakespeare. please get this on dvd already!!
Living in Australia I had no chance to catch this live. Please let us watch it at home.

I have only recently been made aware of the body of work of john simm and really find him a very good actor and would really love to see him as Hamlet.
