This is unfair for my family who are dealing with illness at this time.

Surely this is just common sense, the council is appointed to look after the best interest of the people they serve, not bully and make ridiculous decisions without any consultation!!!
IF YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BE ANYTHING
CHOOSE KIND!

This is not the correct time to be starting the works. Also this needs to be done in partnership with the local residents

This is absolutely shocking. These works to be carried out should be postponed until this virus has been brought under control.

No need to carry this work right now! What's the hurry? Why can't this wait till summer or at least late spring?

This is an amateur decision at best. Sort it out.

I do not feel this is conducive to my health, safety and mental well being during this pandemic.

The lifts have already been out of order during the third wave. Communal areas will now be a lot busier. I fear I will not be able to even go outside for a walk safely.

Many here have been shielding for nearly a year now and do not want our buildings turned into busy construction sites with less than one weeks notice of work starting.
Scaffolding blocking our only natural light and the noise pollution will have a detrimental effect on mental health as well as the impact that will have on those who are working and/or homeschooling.

I never agreed with these works and also refuse to pay for them. They are cosmetic and have nothing to do with health and safety. We need urgent fire sprinklers to prevent a disaster and security cameras to tackle antisocial behaviour as a priority.

The middle of a pandemic is not the appropriate time for this work

At this time it is not safe for people to be entering homes which could potentially lead to the spread of Corona virus

I believe that this decision goes against everything that the government is saying in the COVID guidelines which makes a mockery in what we are trying to achieve

Please halt the works to minimise spread of coronavirus and impact on residents personal space during this restrictive time.

The work needs to stop if my vulnerable friends and family are to have any chance to get through this pandemic in one peice. The work that is proposed is both unjustified and inconsiderate considering the times we’re in.

On top of the inappropriateness of doing this work now. I’m told the cost has risen from £6k to £11 (per flat) due to increase rental cost of scaffolding since Grenfell. That’s a hidden £5k Grenfell tax right there. Work should wait till prices fall. It’s not a justifiable cost increase (or particularly ethical)
