We, the band members of Weenusk First Nation, petition the current WFN Chief and a Council and electoral officers to halt the current elections until we have fair and valid election codes to run the 2017 election process.

There is a lack of communication between band members of Weenusk First Nation and the chief and council regarding elections. The process is always rushed through with a made up process every term. We understand that WFN does not have ratified election codes and want change. We do not accept that the electoral officer is a band member who is employed or was employed during the past year by the current WFN administration, it is unethical. It is our human right to have fair elections like every other Canadian citizen.

I demand that WFN Chief and Council and the electoral officers halt the current elections until we can have a fair and valid election codes to run the 2017 election process.
