The City and County need to show the neighbors an environmental impact report. Watch for upcoming notices from the City when the builder applies for hillside development permits. The roads and utilities have to be built before building permits can be issued. The permit process should go through a public city council meeting. If you have concerns on this project, it will be an opportunity to speak against the building permits.

This development is an illegal action! Shame on our city. Shame on this dishonest builder too..they know the appropriate protocol for this project to legally be approved.
Due to the destruction of the beautiful canyon/valley we in Skyhawk have already see displaced wildlife at unusual times of the day; devastating. We have so very few areas of open spaces left for possible preservation. I believe the public deserves their right to speak on this issue. We the people should also have been offered the opportunity to purchase this land, instead of it unfairly in an exclusive manner only being auctiond for sale to land developers and contractors. This was all handled in wrong and sneaky manner..."it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission ".
Lastly, what of our drought and inherent water shortage?!

We read the Press Democrat regularly for civic news, and if there was anything written that warned the St. Francis neighborhood that new houses were about to be built. Furthermore, how was it possible for the land owners to sell under the "Open Space" provisions and then actually allow housing development?

This area is already in a high traffic hwy that has had several accidents. We in Northern Ca. have a severe drought and have cut back on our water usage by letting our yards go brown and not able to do any water sports with our kids. This development will only cripple our water supply to the max. I think Argonat Construction is rich enough without making more money from raping the joining hillsides of it's water and nature.
