I was at my local Gamestop recently and I asked if they were going to hold a big tournament for upcoming Halo 3 like they did for the last Madden game. They said they really wanted to, but they would need a huge screen for it to work. They asked to rent one or two of our local cinema's screens on Halo 3's launch day, but the cinema refused, even though the Gamestop employees offered to pay them fairly for the use of their screens. This petition is to show our local theater the big mistake they are making: the release of Halo 3 is a bigger event than they imagine, and they will be missing out on a lot of money and goodwill from local gamers if they don't partner with Gamestop to host the proposed tournament. So, let me ask you: If there was a Halo 3 tournament at your local cinema, displayed on a HUGE screen by a hi-def projector, would you participate in it There may or may not be entry fees and/or awesome prizes for top rankers (there would probably be both)... The purpose of this petition is just to show my local cinema how many people would pay to participate in a Halo 3 tournament on the silver screen.
