343 is simply awful. They have ruined all the joy of playing Halo with members of your household and friends dropping by. There are 2 different Xbox live gold memberships in my house, buy we still can't play together. Not cool dude, not cool. I will never purchase anything made from 343, and might possibly switch to Apple products, which I absolutely loathe. Thanks a lot jerks!

Split screen made the other halo games even more fun if you don't have Gold, so this I a real drawback to a great game...

please make the campaign coop split screen. i did not know it wouldnt be. that was what made halo, to be able to sit in same room with friends and play the campaign. if i had known before i bought the halo 5 console bundle i wouldnt have bought it. very angry at microsoft and xbox right now might have to get a ps4 instead

I have no interest in buying this game without split screen multiplayer. I do not have Xbox live, what am I supposed to do to play with friends? We are not getting enough attention fast enough, we need to get the word out, and get 343's attention! Call of Duty will destroy Halo if 343 keeps pulling things like this. I can buy COD Black ops 3 for 360, and play with my brothers, to play halo 5, I (just) need a Xbox 1, and a gold membership. How am I supposed to play with my brothers and friends (who also don't have Xbox live)?
Unless we get attention to this soon, we can kiss halo goodbye.

The age of local play split screen is NOT dead, the only reason it is fading is because game makers are making it that way and its not because the majority of us want it that way. The real reason is because they want to try and force more people to buy the consoles.

Halo, specifically playing coop with my gf was pretty much the sole reason we bought an xbox 1. It is saddening to think that the experience we share playing the halo games will now end, on account of what can only be seen as massive corporate greed and the retlentless desire of microsoft to force gamers online. The spirit of halo lies not in its graphics, but in its ability to bring real people together to share and admire the truly epic gameplay, story and atmosphere which has been achieved since halo 1.

I told my son that there would be no split and he said, "I don't want it then." Looks like it will be a pass for us. They should learn from GTA that the gameplay is more important than the graphics.

Split screen was one of the best parts of halo, the team work and if you eliminate it and put an A.I. in your partners shoes, it loses its effect on the communication and teamwork
