The tennis court is staying and the demolition plans have been scrapped. This fight took everything I had and I am relieved that we finally saved this space. Please keep an eye on the property to ensure they honor this commitment.
Management at the Westin Nova Scotian is planning
to tear-up the Tennis court this Thursday Oct. 31st
The reason is to create more parking space which
is hard to understand as the lot is hardly ever full.
I feel their decision is short sighted when you
consider it's the only tennis court downtown
Halifax, creating value to guests and local
residence who enjoy health & fitness.
These are intangible benefits that
can't be measure in dollars.
So, how can you help?
It's easy.... Sign the petition now!
I encourage you to express your feeling
about their decision to tear-up the court.
Let the Owners & Management know
that people are gaining benefit from
the tennis court and that they hold
a 'precious jewel' endeared by visitors,
guests, and the local community.
Regardless of the final outcome
I greatly appreciate your effort
and thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
David Kristof

The management team at the hotel remains silent despite the feedback flooding in from local residents. It is exhausting to watch them ignore the clear value this court provides to our community. We are not backing down while there is still a chance to protect this space.

David is an amazing instructor. The court side is private enough for me to always want to come back. It is a great atmosphere for tennis practice.

This court is the best kept secret in Halifax and draws me to Halifax and the Westin. David Kristof makes lessons so fun and so rewarding - results!
