I dont understand why this beautiful building has been left in such a terrible state for years. The last owner I remember was a lady who left and opened up a tea room by the bridge in Dolgellau. She's not there anymore either

I weep to see this everytime I go through Bontddu - which is often. Lovely building that needs a lot of TLC and brought back to life as a Hotel

This is a lovely old building in a beautiful location...and at a key location for holiday traffic to the coast. Currently it is a bloody eyesore and it's imposing position reflects poorly on the lovely village of Bontddu. With investment, renovation and the right business, it was huge potential (another local pub across the estuary has been recently renovated and now has a thriving trade - despite it's remoteness). Come on owners/local community, please don't let this building become totally dilapidated...let's have it alive and fixed again!

Terrible to see such a lovely building left like this and by now must be unsafe. Owners should sell not just leave to fall down, with this being such a tourist area it could become something good again

We oass here regularly on our way to Barmouth from our caravan in Llwyngwril
