Halewood Jujitsu club was formed almost 18 years ago by Sensei's Norman and Andrea McCaffrey. The base of which is Halewood Leisure Centre. Halewood Leisure Centre is operated by knowsley council, they have taken the decision to close the centre two hours early, Monday to Friday as a cost cutting exercise. The outcome of this is that it will not be possible to run both Adult and Children's classes due to time restraints. The children's class will be massively affected to the point where many children will have to leave the club and possibly stop participating in the sport altogether! This is totally unacceptable to the students, parents and especially the Sensei's who have put in so much effort to build a hugely successful club. This Petition is aimed at knowsley council. This petition is for the current closing time of Halewood Leisure Centre, on a Monday to remain unchanged.
