Extend TPS for Haiti
COUNCIL MEMBER MATHIEU EUGENE AND THE HAITIAN-AMERICAN
COUNCIL FOR UNITY AND EMPOWERMENT (HACUE) URGE YOUR SUPPORT TO CALL UPON THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO EXTEND TEMPORARY
PROTECTED STATUS (TPS) FOR HAITI.
Whereas Haiti has suffered horrific devastation from multiple natural disasters, including four tropical storms in 2008, the horrific 2010 earthquake, and the recent hurricane in 2016
Whereas Haiti cannot withstand an influx of deported Haitian nationals who will put additional strain on the country’s ongoing economic challenges
Whereas Haiti has a severely damaged socioeconomic infrastructure, which the government is still in the process of rebuilding
Whereas Haiti is coping with an unprecedented outbreak of cholera and other public health crises
Whereas Haiti has gone through tremendous political unrest and is working to stabilize its government institutions
We, the undersigned, request that the President of the United States and the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, hereby extend the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti as a humanitarian gesture that will alleviate the current socioeconomic burden and ease recovery efforts.

More than 50,000 Haitians who have been living in the U.S. for a minimum of 7 to 15 years are facing deportation to Haiti unless President Trump instructs the Department of Homeland Security to renew Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to these people.
It is not fair to the children who moved to the US, went to school and got an education here. It is not fair to the families that worked hard to build a foyer in US. They will be destroying families and ruining kids life if they don't renew the TPS
Please renew tps. I'm on tps and I've 2 kids and my wife who's depends on me. if I don't have the tps to keep my job it will be a disaster for the family. I lost everything on my contry haiti after the earthquake I don't see how to go back there.
I take responsiblities for signing the petitition. A big amount of Haitians' family voted for President Trump. Please, don't send them back. They really need this country , the US.A to give bread to their family. Thanks, for your understanding.
Haitian people still need a lot of help, they need hospital food and medicine, people are still dying from colerat, and people still living on tents. The poverty is so intense you'll never believe that people are living in such disgrace place .Thanks
I am signing this petition for them to extend the TPS protection for all hatian families and all haitian kids because hatian families has no where to stay and eat at all and the government needs to have all the haitians families to stay in the USA so they can have their jobs back an house to stay in and they can also have to food to eat as well.

It would be unfair to the Haitians people living in this country and working hard to realize their dreams. TPS opens door for a lot of undocumented individuals in so many way, they were able to go to school, have their driver license, and buy houses.
