Vidal Sassoon snubbed for new £20 note as "Hairdressers are NOT Visual Artists"

I am a hairstylist and a hair artisan. My craft is everything from science, psychology, mathematics, to art. I am a Visual Artist. Vidal, however was more then that. He elevated style, knowledge, art, and the entire industry. If anyone deserves to be a visual artist it is him.

Ridiculous to even have the thought that hairdressers are not artists. TOTALLY VISUAL!!!!!

Saddened at the ignorance of people . Vidal and many others lead the way for inspiration that run's through our veins and touches the soul of every person who lets us create .

Any person that thinks hairdressing is not an art, should not be allowed to have an appointment with said "non-artists" for a year.

Hairdressers ARE visual artists. Its what we do..

Hairdressing is an art and will forever be an art! One can transform someone's entire look!

I'd like to see the hair on the individuals who decided that hair dressing is not a "visual art." Our art is worn and seen by countless/innumerable individuals. To say we are not visual artists is insulting.
