We the undersigned declare that we support the Rastafari Council of Britain and the Rastafari Global Council in its mission to create a new trust the 'Haile Selassie Foundation' to transfer the management of Fairfield House, H.I.M Haile Selassie I's former residence in Bath,UK, to the Rastafari community in the UK and across the globe. We declare that Fairfield House is considered sacred land by the Rastafari community, and the perfect home for the 5000 Rastafari that live in the UK. We believe that the Rastafari community have the commitment and dedication to maintain the house and are best placed to utilise the house effectively as part of their faith works. We declare that the global Rastafari community which at this time is numbered at more than one million have the skills, talents, abilities and faith to make the project a success. We declare that the Rastafari community are the natural inheritors of the house due to their historical commitment to the house and promotion of the life and works of H.I.M Haile Selassie I. We declare that we will only support the formation of the Haile Selassie Foundation if in its constitution it specifies that it will continue to do work with the aged as was requested by H.I.M Haile Selassie I as part of our faith works.
