We (a group of NYU students) want to form an all-square club to: Educate the community about the issue of gender-based violence (e.g., stalking, rape, domestic violence, sexual assault, street harassment) on campus and in NYC; Provide survivors of GBV and their allies with “safe” outlets for expression and discussion; Increase support for student survivors of all identities (e.g., gender, sexuality, race); Increase awareness of existing NYU resources for survivors of GBV; Expand campus resources for survivors of GBV; Empower students to support survivors in their communities; and Ultimately reduce the incidence of GBV in NYU and NYC.
