Allow John H. Guyer Students to exercise first amendment rights in support of reforming gun laws

This is especially important in communities where guns are such a big part of life.

Hey yeah I think there's a difference between skipping class for fun and protesting for laws that'd prevent more students like me from dying. I understand the difficulty that comes with funding and attendance, but no other more peaceful protests have worked so far, so perhaps this might garner the attention of our government to do something more to protect the lives of kids like me and my friends.

These kids deserve the right to exercise their first amendment rights without punishment. Exercising your rights is important as a young student, and protesting for something you believe in is even more important. Let them protest unhindered, and they'll return back better students than if you had hindered them.

The students are literally fighting for their lives! Please let them exercise their 1st Amendment rights. This would be more educational and life-changing than a day at school. Thank you.

I don’t want to die because I went to school to expand my education.

As a retired Denton teacher of 36 years, I support the students in their peaceful protest. This will be a great civic lesson.

Students should understand the power of their voices. We all deserve to be heard.

The students at Guyer should have the right to protest and express what they believe in. We must start taking steps towards making sure tragedies like Stoneman Douglas never happen again.
