Gunfire in Violation of Noise Ordinance

Noise from gunshots, especially automatics, emanating from addresses on Norwood Road are loud enough to be heard upstairs in furthest room from noise. Noise levels create tension in my neck and head to the point of headaches (health issue). Noise went on for an hour today.

Having had to listen again for several hours this Sunday afternoon constant booming gunfire. I am afraid to go outside or let my pet out. Worry that if I sell my house I would have to disclose the adverse noise from this gun range. This does not belong so close to neighborhoods and is inconsiderate and disturbing.

As if the gunfire isn’t annoying enough, it starts my dogs barking nonstop. It can be heard inside as well as outside, so I can’t get away from it unless I leave home. So much for a quiet afternoon on the deck.

We have noticed increased frequency and longer duration.

It is March 25th and the gunfire has been going on for at least a solid 3 hours so far. As I write this I'm hearing the shots of an automatic or at least, semi automatic gun.

We live on Cavanaugh Drive in The Registry at Bailey Farms and hear the gunfire almost every weekend. It scares our children and our dog. More recently, the gunfire has been more frequent and lasting longer. We bought our home for the quaintness of the neighborhood and this noise disrupted our desired moments of peace outside.

As others have noted, this has been going on for many years, but has increased in intensity and frequency over the past couple of years. We feel like we're in a war zone - it's incredibly stressful to us and our animals. We often feel that we're trapped inside and unable to enjoy our yard. (Trotters Ridge)

Coachman's Trail. If it were once a week for an hour or so, I wouldn't mind so much. But the gunfire goes on many days a week, is incredibly loud, and goes on for hours and hours.

I reside near near Norwood and Mt. Vernon and I am tired of gunshots on Saturdays and Sundays on my very few hours of rest for the week. Quite disturbing!

Hear this almost every weekend and seems dangerous considering how much North Raleigh population has grown .

When this happens, constant gunfire can go on for literally well over an hour

Thank you for initiating this petition. Myself, kids & 3 dogs would appreciate no constant gun noise.

My kids always come running inside when it starts. And it’s often!

When our children are outside in the backyard and the gunfire starts, they either have to move to the front yard or come in the house in the hopes it will stop. It's so unnerving since we do not know if a stray bullet will fly onto our property. Good luck trying to relax on weekends or holidays. Shots fired on Christmas Eve and Day this past year. The frequency has increased within the past few years. I have entertained the idea of recording the gunfire.

Chatsworth Subdivision. We've been complaining about this for years.
