We, the undersigned, support the call of the SRC Executive Committee for the University of Glasgow to extend the opening hours of the Main University Library until 2am during the April/May examination diet.
I have been hearing from so many of you about the crushing stress of trying to find a quiet place to study late at night. I am currently preparing a formal proposal for the university administration to show them exactly why these extra hours are a basic necessity for our success.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms I am not the only one struggling to find a quiet space to study when the pressure is building. Knowing that so many others are feeling this frustration gives me real optimism that the university will finally listen to us.

10pm is way too early when we have deadlines piling up. need more time to study without getting kicked out.

It makes no sense to close early when the revision period is the most stressful time of the year. let us stay later

the library is the only place i can actually focus. 2am would be a lifesaver for finals.

Why do the staff get to go home while we are failing our exams because we have nowhere to work? absurd.
