Guild finally listened and confirmed the JMJ Starfire II is officially in production. We forced their hand to give us the quality we deserve. Keep an eye on them to ensure they actually deliver the instrument we demanded.

Final supporters
Among these was American musician and bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen, best known for his work with Beck, Nine Inch Nails, M83, and many others. The Starfire bass featuredprominentlyon Becks magnum opus album, Sea Change. Justin is a Starfireaficionado, well versed in the nuances of the vintage Guild bass.
I am proposing that Guild work with Justin to build a signature Starfire II bass. I'm thinking of one of the following options:
1) As part of the made to order MIA American Patriarch custom shop line.
2) As a Made in Japan instrument of AVRI Fender quality.
3) As a made in Korea instrument; but with fretwork, finishing, and QA done in the US (similar to what happens with some G&L and Lakland models).
If one of these appeals more than the others please specify in the comments when signing.

Guild is still ignoring the demand for a professional grade JMJ Starfire and they think we will just settle for their current lackluster offerings. I am tired of waiting for them to wake up and acknowledge that musicians deserve actual quality. Keep the pressure on because they are definitely watching these numbers climb.

Guild continues to ignore the obvious demand for the instrument players actually want. Our momentum is forcing them to pay attention to the fact that their current lineup is falling flat.

just make it already. been waiting years for a solid starfire reissue that actually sounds like the old ones.
Option 2 please! MIJ builds are always top tier. Would love a vintage spec starfire ii.
Need this so bad. The current ones missing that second pickup is a real bummer. JMJ tone is legendary.
the sea change bass tone is everything. guild needs to get on this for the fans.
PLEASE make this happen. I would buy one in a heartbeat if it had the right build quality.

Would like to see an original 67 style like Jack Cassidy played with Jefferson Airplane
