Banning fires is a direct violation of our rights and freedoms in the canadian charter of rights.

I think the city of Guelph should have a permit to have a backyard fire as long as it is contain, but if there is a drought have fire restrictions.

I believe we need rules such as having a water hose in case it's needed but an all out ban is excessive in my opinion

City could implement a permit you have to purchase.....they do this in Hanover. City could make money.

Adults should be able to purchase fire permits. After all, we ARE adults.

I feel a small controlled fire in a protected area and fire pit or fire place complete with a pressurized hose near by should be allowed. If people don,t follow the rules they should be banned from this and fined.

Small controlled burns in a pit or portable fireplaces should be allowed.

Restrictions during dry periods would be good, but it is a common sense thing! A fire pit that is away from buildings and on a stone or concrete pad should work.

Let's lift this silly ban. Make money on burn permits and fine people for having to large of fires
