In 4 days, the City is discussing the proposals of fenced dog parks as well as the future of a sports dome in Guelph. What do these 2 things have in common?

I would like to open an indoor, off-leash, dog park right here in Guelph, and I'd like to prove that there is some serious desire for this type of establishment in this city!

We only have a few days, but I'd like to collect as many signatures from those who support this idea to prove that we should be considered a solution to both of these proposals!

the momentum on this has been unreal and it proves that people really want a place for their dogs to run when it gets cold out. im getting everything ready to show the city that we are serious about this.

just hit 100 signatures and im honestly blown away by how fast this is moving. its clear so many of you want an indoor space for your dogs as much as i do.

we are almost at 250 signatures and hitting that goal will really help when i talk to the city. if everyone grabs one person to sign this right now we can easily pass that mark before the meeting.

I have an elderly dachshund and no place to take him in the winter to stretch his legs and experience some freedom. Very much need a place like this for year round safe freedom for him.

To be safe and clean!!!! What an AMAZING thing this would be! We have half an acre for our dog to run about but she can't socialize and the dog park is unsafe with coyotes and is muddy. She can't get in the work car like that. We would definitely use an indoor park!! And we live in Fergus. Worth the drive.

We need more safe fenced areas.indoor would be great when tick season has many dog owners worried about taking their dogs to trails

As a dog sitter, have a safe and welcoming staffed environment for dogs is critical. An indoor facility in the winter is beneficial to everyone. I've had several dogs cut their paws open on ice, and from salt damage in the city, and an indoor park would eliminate any potential harm.

The Hanlon creek is a fantastic location but if we ever have weather like we've been having this year you cannot let your animals socialize because let's face it a lot of people wouldn't stand in the rain. This could definitely be an alternative to that

An indoor option for dog exercise and socialization would be amazingly useful. As someone with a dog that doesn’t physically do well with cold, having somewhere for proper play and exercise in winter would be a life-changer.
