The days of the world being reasonable need to return. This penalty is completely unreasonable.

Mistakes will always happen. The way you respond to them is the thing that matters. Let these kids play. Do not punish them on a technicality. Let the best players play.

Oh, bravo, GTHL! What a masterstroke of justice you've delivered by punishing a group of 16-year-old hockey players for a paperwork blunder they had absolutely no hand in. Truly, nothing teaches young athletes about fairness and integrity quite like stripping them of 14 hard-earned victories because an adult didn't dot an 'i' or cross a 't'. And let's not overlook the brilliance of your logic: acknowledging that the players and parents "had no responsibility" in this clerical catastrophe, yet deciding they "must pay the price." It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off. In a world where accountability is key, it's refreshing to see an organization hold innocent parties accountable for others' mistakes. After all, what better way to prepare these young athletes for the real world than by showing them that bureaucracy trumps merit, and that their dedication and sportsmanship can be nullified by someone else's oversight? So here's to you, GTHL, for redefining fairness and setting a new standard in youth sports administration. The future looks bright with such exemplary leadership at the helm.

Let the kids play! They deserve to be in the playoffs! They have trained and worked hard to be where they are in the standings. This is r not fair to the kids!

This is bureaucracy at its worst. Punishing kids for an error that didn’t affect the outcome of any games. The adults in the GTHL should be ashamed.

Absolutely ridiculous they would be penalized so severely for such a minor oversight.

The G is wrong way too many times for way to many things. I am happy to help you stand up to them for this insane outcome.

The decision is abhorrent over a clerical error the administrator has admitted to & tried to rectify

U
Uphold the penalty

Any coach or manager for a G team knows this rule and reviews the game sheet on an ipad before each game. This is not a paperwork error. Uphold the penalty!
