This is utterly insane. The team was not trying to do something unsafe that was offside the rules. The spirit of the rule was followed - the guy had been a trainer for 5 years and registered himself. How can he know the registrar screwed up? Shame on the GTHL for what they are doing to these kids.

GTHL sometimes misunderstands who they work for.

My son is a A goalie in the East End of Toronto. I can't imagine why the GTHL thinks an honest error about a trainer on the bench would result in a 14-win penalty.

At some point I would hope common sense would take over and the GTHL will understand the damage they are inflicting on these kids

It is unfathomable to understand how anybody could do this to a bunch of innocent kids. Do they not know the damage this could do to those poor kids' mental health? Do better!
