Groundation is a roots reggae band from Northern California. Their reggae/jazz fusion with Latin and African based poly-rhythmics woven together by a conscious message, has something for everyone to enjoy. Los Angeles needs more conscious music,especially in a time when our youth are consumed by sex-driven misogenistic drivel "sung" over someone else's sampled track. Groundation is a group of technically trained musicians who create and play their own music. Their live performances are energetic and spirit lifting no matter what your belief system may be. Preaching world unity, equality, and social responsibility, Groundation revives the spirit of Bob Marley that has been quelled by the capitalism, self promotion, and allure of star treatment many so-called artists are caught up in today. This petition will be sent out to L.A. venues and festivals demanding they book the group.
