The Highland Council currently supports three groups of museums; 19 independent community museums throughout the Highlands, Inverness Museum and Art Gallery and the Highland Folk Museum.

The Highland Council are looking to review this funding and propose to cut funding to two out of these three groups of museums from 1st April 2011. They seek your views, as part of their public consultation, on which museum facilities should no longer receive the Highland Council funding.

Groam House Museum’s Board of Directors needs your support in the bid to save the museum. Please sign our form to indicate your support for our museum and to help us convince The Highland Council to continue their revenue funding of the independent museums.

This petition will be used to demonstrate community support of Groam House Museum to The Highland Council at the highest level.
