A lot of blood sweat and tears went into this old pool and should be remembered as Grenada worked to build the swimming program it now has. With growth in the sport of swimming comes the need to recognize its importance in Grenadian society. A new pool will be well deserved and of lasting importance in the future of the sport of swimming in Grenada.

I am in full support!! This was a promise to us for a very long time. It must be materialized. Sports tourism can contribute tremendously to our economy but we need the facilities. We have great swimmers so lets give them a great pool to practise in.

I really do hope that this petition will not fall on deaf ears. Swimming is a very good form of exercise and a good stress relief. My kids have been swimming in that 'pool' for the past 20 years and we have been promised a pool since 'king hatchet was a hammer'. Please give the sport what it needs to move forward. Are we still talking Sports Tourism or is that just for athletics?

Swimming is one of the more popular sports that our students participate in in Grenada. The facility that they use should be able to accommodate training, host both locally and regionally attended swimming events, and allow athletes and onlookers to be in a comfortable and pleasant environment. This is certainly not the case right now and it needs to be addressed.

I totally agree we have probably brought back much more trophies for overall winners and individual trophies for outstanding swimmers and not to mention all the medal for races, then let's say foot ball!! But yet the government still after over 20 years in this sport I have seen no support. We go away representing Grenada but with no help from the government. We have soooo much potential talent it's a joke
