Board of Ed must reinstate bus service to Eagle Hill, canceling the service violates fair and equitable access to education for special needs students within the town of Greenwich.

The fact that we need to sign a petition for this is ridiculous!

Please reconsider providing transportation to Eagle Hill. This is not only to help the children and families that attend, but reduces traffic throughout town. Every pick up and drop off will increase traffic and create a hazard.

Eagle Hill is truly an amazing school if I how didn’t go on there I don’t know what I would have become. Eagle Hill is a special school for kids who learn differently.

Is this a budget constraint or a cruel action against persons with disabilities?

It's not only right to continue providing public school busing for the children attending Eagle Hill School in Greenwich, CT, but economically sound. It always costs more to fix something broken than build it well to begin with. And we're talking about children—our future adults.

Continued busing for ALL Greenwich students needs to go forward. Who ever thought selectively discontinuing service to a certain segment would benefit anyone is absolutely very limited in their thinking. All our students should have free bus service to school regardless of where they attend. Why do you think we pay such high taxes. This is shameful of CT, The Constitution State, to try and take this basic service away from students who are already facing challenges beyond their years.

My sister has autism, and without her district-sponsored busing she would be unable to get the education that she needs. This bus-route cancellation would also be a dramatic change in routine and expectations for these students, which I know from experience can have negative effects on their performance and behavior. I am sure that Greenwich Public Schools did not make this decision intending to harm the educational opportunities of students at Eagle Hill School, but that is the result it will certainly have. I urge Greenwich to reconsider this decision and offer busing to students who are among those who most heavily depend on it. Thank you.

To be frank, Eagle Hill is a School that cost a lot of money to send a child who needs to be there. This is a direct shot at parents who are trying to give their children the very best they can, and still struggle to make a good life for their families in every other respect. This does not reflect the spirit of Greenwich at all.

Eagle Hill is a state-approved special education school. Parents and students depend on busing to get to EHS in order to get an education they may not be able to get from their public school district. Please continue busing for children of Greenwich residents to Eagle Hill School - without this transportation, it may create barriers for children that keep them from getting to EHS and receiving the best education for their special needs.

Do the right thing , and continue to provide busing for children . You show love and care and you will receive love and care back.

Many of our Greenwich families have both parents working and busing is necessary. Please reconsider taking away transportation from them.
