Taking this serves away has in no way altered out Council Tax Bill and has resulted in green waste being left on the streets of Birmingham.
The left green waste is now pilling up all over the city and after a conversation with Birmingham City Council they will no longer consider this fly tipping and as such will not be picking up these bags from our streets so they are here to stay!!!!!!!!!!

I have requested a formal meeting with the sanitation department to address the accumulation of waste currently ignored by the council. Legal documentation is being prepared to outline how the removal of this service contradicts our existing tax agreements.

I am severely Disabled 73 years old retired Government Officer with arthritis and heart disease. Living on a very small pension, paying £1581.76 in Council Tax can say it is un affordable and unfair for the Council to charge for the collection of the Green Waste. I strongly condemn this act of cruelty. Free Green Waste Collection, which gives the Council a fair amount of profit, should must be reintroduced.
We do not need the metro extended or flower pots up motorways...but you have a responsibility as a council to keep the city streets clean, it is not the peoples fault you over paid thousands of people and now need to make it up by cutting city services, why should we pay extra. Look after your residents first. I fear if people resist long enough the tipping will get so bad you will have to collect it as a matter of H&S.
Just admit.Youve made a mistake!

I pay my council tax I want my greens collected, if not I want a reduced bill. I would rather have my greens collected than flowers boxes up the middle of the roads, get ur priorities right.

other council services i.e sandwell have their green waste collected as part ot their anual fees and they have numerous amounts of wheelie bins supplied free of charge ! therefore i totaly disagree with this decision for the working public to have to inccur this extra charge especialy in todays climate when all we are trying to do is keep our heads above water
