The Little Free Library is a delightful grass roots community effort to promote reading and share a book that we loved with others in our community. Why is this even being challenged? Is it an eyesore? No Does it take up a lot of room or cause some disruption along the paths? No Then what is the big issue. The other question I have is why is a property management group dictating how people in a certain Green Trails area making judgements for us. We're not asking to put these through the whole community. We just want our Little Free Library in our part of the Green Trails path. We not asking Green Trails Improvement Association to pay for anything are we? The Green Trail Board of Directors needs to leave us have this library or we need to remember who they are the next time they're up for election. Here's a link to see who your representative is .. give them a call http://www.greentrails.org/gt-gov-brd-mems.html

Little Free Libraries are a clear sign of a progressive community, and should be encouraged and supported.

Save the Green Trails Library. These are the types of features that attrack quality neighbors and create and maintain quality neighborhoods. Removal of these types of privately-funded neighborhood amenities will result in the removal of quality neighbors, and eventually will remove the quality of the neighborhood. Quality neighbors will move to other quality neighborhoods that do not restrict good-neighbor behavior.

My sister in law has one. There is one down the street from me. I am reading more and the kids are reading more than they ever have. I really don't understand the problem. It is something EVERYONE of every race, religion and sex can enjoy. Is there something wrong with that?
