Dear Governor Rell We are writing to you regarding the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. We believe it would be a catastrophic mistake to use the money from the fund for any other reason than promoting clean energy within the state. Your attempt to utilize this money has already resulted in loss of business for green energy companies, as the fund has been forced to put all rebates on hold. The Solar Thermal Program will provide hundreds of jobs and the vast majority of the spent money would be re injected into local economies. We understand the state is facing dire financial problems, but this fund is more valuable in its intended purpose. To use it for anything else transforms the fund's electric bill surcharge into a tax. Green jobs are a great hope for the state and indeed the nation. We implore you to reconsider your position on the Clean Energy fund
