Save the alley on 8th

For the safety of the building, I agree that the Alley should be secured.

This alley is very important for us. Most of us that live in this building are artist and this piece of land is a source of our inspiration. We don't want this place with graffiti, trash and homeless around. Please don remove this gate.

please just look at any other un-gated alleys in the area, filled with, trash, graffiti and homeless. then look at the work thats gone in to ours and how it look.

The removal of the gate and landscaping goes against the very fabric and culture of not only this building but the tenants, employees and neighbors. Not to mention it looks very attractive and adds character privacy and security to all concerned. The removal would a detriment to all of us. Not to mention all of the transient activity that would take place. This would result in a dramatic increase in calls to the LAPD and the Councilmans office.

Please save the alley.

I agree with my neighbors and other residents, in asking the city to reverse the decision to remove this beautiful development. In my opinion it's very important for residents, to have access to such common spaces, as it improves the quality of leisure time & gives room for interaction and community life. Please save the alley.

Please save the alley! A beautiful calm spot of the Arts District!

I think the city would be mistaken to reverse an effort that beautifies the neighborhood. It also seems to me that the practice of unlocking the gate and opening it up during daylight hours provides a good compromise between civic use and security for the building residents. I advise the city to reconsider.

Let's keep our security :) and perhaps we can enter through this alley into the building from the parking lot! ❤️

Don't take our alley away!!! Please oh please don't do this! It's the best part of my weekends. It allows all the neighbors to hang together in a communal space! Please oh please don't take it away!!!!!!!!!

Save the alley!

This gated alley keeps our building and parking area secure and safe for tenants. It also is one of few green areas in the Arts District! Please do not demolish our courtyard!

We need to keep the alleyway safe for the residents especially how the building is close to the freeway.

We love this part of our home. It is where we walk out dog and actually get to stop and talk to our neighbors

One of my favorite things when I look out my window is this alley. The landscaping, the trees, the stoops. It has such a nice, neighborhood feel which is what drew me to move into the Arts District.

We need to keep our alley safe and locked as well as a beautiful space for residents/neighbors to enjoy. As a fellow tenant I myself also face the alley and will be directly affected by any changes.

I support to keep the alley way as it provides a safe place to walk pets at night and remains to be one of the only green areas in the neighborhood. By keeping it locked it protects us from unwelcomed vagrants, graffiti and homelessness. Please see our courtyard as a positive improvement favored by the community and do not demolish. Thank you.
