Not only has there been flies and other insects, but there was also a dead bird in the seaweed as well. It not only looks digusting, but smells disgusting.

I understand the town does all it can to keep our town clean and beautiful. This seaweed should be cleaned up because it attracts so many flies and when high tide moves in all the dead bugs, etc. are back in the water. Happens in Brant Rock at times, I think all beaches should be cleaned of seaweed when it washes up in such abundance.

Recycle the seaweed, makes great compost, just not at the beach.

In response to the posting by "Anonymous" user, rocks don't create the same health issues that seaweed (algae) and insects do. Also, why would anyone question this request? Taxpayers, residents and tourists, whom greatly benefit the town and create jobs/employment should reasonably expect that situations as this may arise in seaside communities and will be addressed in a timely manner. It smells, it is unsightly and it is a hazard. Please, please clean the beach. Thank you very much.

Once cleaned, won't the tide just wash it all back up onto the beach? Also, isn't the bay completely filled with floating seaweed as well...making it un-swimmable? Where is the petition to have all of the rocks removed from Brant Rock Beach? This year is the first year there has been sand on that beach in over 8 years. Nature is nature...
