I am against the chicken coop. I am concerned about the proximity of the property to Newman Elementary School. There is a potential for danger to kids on the playground if the chickens draw predators such as coyotes.
No decision will be made until meeting in January. We will be given proper notification. Courtney wants four very small birds in a closed coop! John Bulian came and will follow up on our concerns about coyotes with the animal control dept. If they say there is not increased risk of attracting coyotes etc. I am hopeful that our concerns will be decreased. I am very worried about chicheks attracting cyotes and other wildlife which already are in and around our neighborhood. this land abuts the land next to Newman School. What would we do if one small child was hurt by a cyote. Are frewesh eggs worth that risk. Also where does all the fecal waste go in the ewet lands?
