Are you looking, hoping, or praying for a good or better SCHOOL for your current or future elementary student? I was in the same place a year ago. And then I heard about GREAT HEARTS ACADEMY, WESTERN HILLS. We’ve been there for almost a year now and I believe it is the most amazing school in Texas. It is a classical liberal arts FREE public charter school. My child is learning Latin, classic Literature, memorization, critical thinking, socratic discussion, ethical and polite debate, art and music every other day, learning how to learn, and most importantly, how to be a person of character. Their approach is to educate students NOT WHAT to think but HOW to think with a moral, virtuous conscience alongside a rigorous academic approach. Their core virtues are Truth, Beauty and Goodness. Even though the students learn how to be a scholar, it is the emphasis and focus on character that really makes me grateful for this amazing school. And perhaps the pièce de résistance? No pop culture allowed through the front doors! The only downside to this amazing school is location (151 and 410)...
And that is why another current Great Hearts mom and I are starting this petition to have a new Great Hearts built in the far Northwestern/Helotes area. Great Hearts is currently expanding in San Antonio, so if we get enough signatures of interested families, we might be able to get one built out here!!! The momentum behind this request for a new campus in the Northwestern area has become truly significant. This level of interest confirms the widespread desire for the classical education model in our community.

Helotes is a rapidly growing community- I strongly believe it would be a great area to house another location
We live in Helotes and would love a campus closer to us! We're a second year GH family with two children.
We currently attend GHWH. We have over an hour commute ( and it is worth it). Love everything about Great Hearts our girls have grown exponentially this past year. The more opportunities for others to experience this classical education would be a blessing for the community
Awesome! Excited about Great Hearts and would love to have one here in Helotes!
The drive to the current school is just too long for us. We love the curriculum but we really need something in our side of town. Please bring a campus to Helotes!
Would love a campus closer to home and feel like this would be a good location!
This would be a great area to build, way better side of town.

I am for the project of building a Great Hearts school in the Northwest/Helotes area.
