It is ridiculous to expect our children to adhere to the same guidelines as clubs who have pristine, heated pitches with options for alternative arrangements. This is grassroots football for children who rely on volunteers and very little funding so that they can play their chosen spot with their friends on a regular basis...too many games have to be called off in the bad weather which is at the very least disappointing for the young boys and girls, their parents and coaches... surely this is common sense for them to play when pitches are a reasonable standard...they are playing for enjoyment at this level, where is the enjoyment in games being called off week after week???

Children committed to training week in week out suffer disappointment on a regular basis due to cancelled games. Children showing promising potential cannot get the game time needed to progress to academy level

The loss of game time is ridiculous, not enough artificial pitches to serve the users, how are kids going to progress with no games!

Needs to happen - from next season please! Too many games called off. Pitches in bad shape and don't get time to recover. Play in the summer months, and use the winter months for tournaments instead.

It’s not on the amount of games the children are missing out on because of the state of the pitches! Something needs to be done!

This is something that seriously needs considering as the lack of investment at grassroots level for pitches is simply atrocious- this is why we can not play games in winter months at grassroots level -

Kids need to be able to play regular football or they will lose interest so summer months makes more sense

100% agree with this indoor Futsal for winter outdoor football for when the weather gets better.
