Fellow Shift Managers (formerly Team Leads,)
All team leads were invited to a meeting not too long ago in which we were told that we'd still be granted vacation, just a little less than before.
I just want to collect signatures to prove that accrued vacation was not indicated or agreed to at any point during or since that meeting.
I was just told last week that PTO will not be granted to team leads/shift managers this October. This information comes after I return from a long vacation during which I used every single bit of vacation pay I had. I used it all at one time because I was told "if you don't use it, you lose it."
I'm sure many of you are in the same boat. I've heard many stories already like my co-worker's. She used all her PTO because we were told we'd lose it if we didn't use it and that we'd be granted PTO in October. Now she won't have enough vacation to use for the holidays.
Please join me in telling Starbucks Corporation that this information was not communicated and that the error should be corrected. Grant Shift Managers PTO this year.
