The restrictions on candidates in NY are heinously un-democratic, and reflect poorly on our home state as a whole. Sanders, as well as other independent candidates, deserve better.

I'm fed up with a purportedly democratic system that is quickly becoming a closed one.. The word DEMOCRACY means that the PEOPLE decide who will represent us in the various legislatures. It's deeply undemocratic and repugnant to me to shut down free debate from candidates that don't meet your approval. Open up the "franchise" and let Bernie Sanders join the debate. What are you afraid of anyway? A Democratic party that is afraid of Democracy? What a lame politics we're leaving to future generations. And we have the nerve to preach to other countries the virtues of our democracy. Very sad! Let's do better than that. Open up the debate and allow Bernie Sanders to add his voice. It WOULD be the democratic thing to do. Thanks.

This is an antiquated and useless law, unless you believe that money, over democracy, is the key. Allow Bernie Sanders to run as a Democratic candidate, do what's best for our country.

I am far from deciding which potential candidate is best suit for presidency, but I do know I would like to hear more from Sanders and he is definitely a deserving candidate.

It would be indefensible if Bernie Sanders was kept off the New York democratic party because of an archaic, oppressive law. I would vote against every member of the board in charge of upholding this law off in the next election if Sanders is kept off the ballot.

If Bernie shouldn't be considered a Democrat, then Hillary should be dropped back into the right party as well. She is no Democrat, and you are no proponent of the process if you do not allow your citizens to have all of their choices. The law is draconian.
