Most grandparents provide more financially and give the children more love and attention than the parents do. Parents now days are to busy to give their children all the attention that is needed. When parents wind up divorcing or separating they use their children as a pawn to fight each other they also use the children to hurt the grandparents that have always been there . Once they change their lives or move on to another relationship they no longer need the grandparents so they exclude them from the childs life , not even considering what it will do to their own child by not getting to keep that bond they have formed with their grandparents.

Poor innocent children are placed with strangers before letting family step in and raise them. Far too many children are often abused or even killed! It makes one feel like the state wants money instead of caring for the best interest of the child(ren).

Grandparents matter, sometimes it is the parents wrong doing and hiding things that keep the children away from their grandparents.. the ones that have the means and drive to protect them. Grandparents rights should be an automatic given right.. unfortunately it's not.. just yet!

Please help reconnect us to our grandchildren. They should have a voice and choice and not be put through the heartache of being ripped out of a loving relationship and bond with their grandparents and extended family!

Michigan does need to give Grandparents rights. Grandparents are such a big part of their Grandchildrens life's.

I agree with some previous comments. Why is Michigan so far behind and so out-of-town with this issue?!?!

Grandparents should have rights in this state. Why is Michigan always so far behind. Friend of the court always thinks they are the only one that knows what is best for the child, they are mostly clueless..

Grandparents should be able to have input regarding their grandchildren in Michigan and throughout the United States.
