Last fall, after many years of playing off campus or on substandard fields, the Granby Bears had the official opening of the new athletic fields! The new stadium provided soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, track and football to play on the beautiful new turf fields. The Senior Class of 2014 awaited their graduation on the new field, the first class to enjoy the chance to walk proudly on to their home field one final time.
The administration and BOE have decided that the old way is the way to go-to once again have it in the parking loop. "Perhaps in the future the scenario can be addressed"
The Class of 2014 is graduating THIS year from Granby. They want to enjoy their only chance to graduate in the new stadium. The town voted to allow the stadium to be built for the students. The graduation is about the students-present and future.
