Well, as of 1:30 PM, 688 people care :) In addition, the only high schools that do have uniform are private and paid for. Furthermore, the uniform is used for safety reasons to determine any intruders on campus, and both sexes (male and female) are required to wear it. Nothing like Granada's dress code. Thanks for the signature though it is truly much appreciated! ;)

welp..i apparently suck at petitions....oh whale....got another one going on for granada dress code as well. will share this around as well. seems to be doing better than mine..together we will come together and change this unfair dresscode..I had made a letter regarding the dress code and I had sent it to the dean and disciplinary staff and administrators. One of the administrators keeps looking back on the letter so I mean, it looks like a good sign. Anyways...will put the link for the proposal right here

the dress code here at this school is completely unfair. i don't see how a guy can wear muscle tops (the ones with the huge holes on the sides) where you can see nearly their entire chest but if a girl's thighs are showing or if her shoulders are showing she'll get dress coded. i don't feel safe knowing that a forty year old man is staring at my chest or my stomach to see if any skin is showing, have them follow me until they dress code me and shame me for what i'm wearing and then get punished afterwards. they shouldn't be telling girls how they should dress and shame them for being "distracting" towards boys. they should be teaching guys to control themselves and not treat girls like sexual objects. this dress code is sexist and cruel, and needs to be changed NOW.

The sexism between men and women should either be enforced for both genders so that they are both equal or less strict on girls to be as equal as boys.

My wingspan is longer than my height. I haven't worn shorts since middle school to avoid dress code (and my school had uniforms). Also, the dress code PE shorts aren't even close to reaching my fingertips... My jeans with a small rip are less revealing than those shorts of shame! :( pls.. i just want my legs to stop sweatin. #free da legs

I agree with this 100%, every time I wear a dress to school I'm scared that any second the administrators will start questioning how short it is

This might sound bad but read all of it. As a guy I feel like the girls make a bigger issue of the dress code than us guys. I don't care if they would be wearing shorts that are a little too short or straps that are too thin. In fact, if they wouldn't even bring it up I probably wouldn't even notice. However, I do notice the attention seeking P.E. shirt that has "dress code" written in bold letters across the the shirt, and for me that is more distracting than human skin.

Only thing I have to say is that we should remember that boys don't actually objectify girls like that all the time, it's just Admin's excuse as to why it is so strict.

The dress code is strictly enforced for girls so that male students can "learn better". It is extremely unfair that our comfort is sacrificed for male students. Rather than forcing girls to wear jeans to school every day, male students should be taught to respect females.
