Granada Hills Charter High School: Anti-Dress Code

Hi. And I hate the dress code even though i'm never out of it. :)

I don't even go to Granada anymore but the dress code is absolutely pathetic:)

I believe that women do not need to display modesty in order to respected an argument the school uses for the reason of dress code is to display a professional attire also the dress code does not provide equality to girls who of course come in different shapes and size the "finger plus an inch rule" how is that fair all females do not have the same type of body which what gives individuality our bodies are all beautiful and by using this rule you have to be a certain size in order to maintain in dress code which i find extremely unfair. Also why do we need to make a change to our appearance if it's distracting others (mostly males) shouldn't they be taught how to respect others. Last thing I promise I feel that some of the staff that dress code women display negativity toward young girls for dressing "inappropriate" treating us rudely and even maybe "eyeing is down". Sometime I'm frighten whenever I see a dresscoder even when I'm in dress code.

OK so girls are taken out of class for showing a strap on their shoulder. I think it's unfair how the boys' education is made a higher priority than that of the girls. Change is overdue.

I dont feel comfortable a 40. Year old man telling me my shirts too low while looking at my chest. The way they observe our bodys disgusts me

For real, Ms. Dunn dress coded me earlier today for a black beanie and she was wearing leggings >_>

It is unfair

When you send a girl home from school because her shorts are to short, or her clothing is immodest, you are telling her that hiding her body is more important than her education. You are telling her that boys having a distraction free environment is more important that her education. In a way you are telling her that boys are more entitled to an education than she is. This is not ok.

Any and all students should not be sexualized or feel uncomfortable or threatened in a school environment. Dresscode is the last thing students (especially Granada students) should be worrying about.

Stop. even my mother disagrees with this dress code. u gotta change the dress code its stupid

stop being cruel. this is sexism. girls should be allowed to wear whatever they want as long as its appropriate and not to showy of the skin.
