Immediate removal of Vice President EMHA

It is disappointing to say the least that this man remains on the executive and continues to perpetuate untruths all while never being accountable for his own behaviours. The effect his behaviour has had on his players can be lifelong. Putting our minor players in priority is the only mandate our hockey association should have. Some of this man’s players will feel the effects of his bullying for the rest of their lives. It’s time to step up and protect the minor members of our association!

We've lost too many good honorable people leaving EMHA already because of this dirtbag he needs to be kicked out for the kids sake and the community.

Sounds like some change is needed. It’s my kids last year so I don’t care, but no sense all these people being frustrated year after year creating a toxic environment.

Graham and his buddies need to go. They have forgotten what they are supposed to be doing. I’ve attached it below, because I’m sure at least one of them is keeping an eye on this. Essa Minor Hockey Association is committed to providing the best possible minor hockey program for its players and members, in a spirit of cooperation with associations and organizations with whom it conducts its hockey business. The Association values minor hockey and will strive: ● To protect and serve mutual interest of all members and to place the players and the game of hockey in the forefront. ● To foster, promote and teach amateur hockey and to provide maximum opportunity for all eligible individuals to participate equitably. ● To develop and encourage sportsmanship and good fellowship among all participants. ● To enhance the positive value of our hockey programs by providing leadership and initiatives to develop better citizens, to encourage and direct the fostering of a strong sense of community pride. ● To develop coaches, officials and volunteers to carry out the expressed goals of our members. ● To work with the Provincial (OMHA) and Local (Georgian Bay) Hockey Associations to promote cooperative development of hockey programs and their effective administration for the benefit of all.

Graham Baird is a small town bully who is a nobody without his “status” within EMHA. He thinks he is gods gift to coaching. Anyone who shows up with better credentials, Graham tries to make their life a living hell and run them out of town. Like all bullies, he is insecure because he makes himself sound more qualified than he actually is, and bullies people and players to make himself feel like he has power over others. Good bye and good riddance…. Take the other 3 with you as well.

Graham needs to go!! Association need to be revamped. Going toward what the values the association was founded on not what is in the best interest of the executive members.

Graham Baird is the Donald Trump of Essa Minor hockey. Through bullying, lying and intimidation he has risen to a level of leadership for which he is completely unqualified. He lacks the basic manners and respect necessary to hold a simple conversation, let alone coach and mentor young hockey players. Like Trump, Graham is bolstered in actions by a group of brainwashed yes men who are content to do his bidding as it will elevate their own status within the organization. Graham Baird keeps his cronies close and in positions of power and is diligent about dismissing and demeaning those who are new to Essa, challenge his ideas or attempt to hold him accountable for his abhorrent behavior. In Trump-like fashion warnings and written complaints about him have been rejected by those executive members who find purpose and esteem in aligning themselves with a bully, a narcissist and a buffoon. It is long past time for Graham Baird to go and make the EMHA great again.

Graham Baird is a straight up bully. He rules his team and the EMHA as a whole by fear. Anyone that goes against him either gets pushed out of the executive, or benched and loses playing time. He has managed to connive Adam Collins, Travis Cox and Alex Taggert into thinking that he can help them get their kids on the Rep team/ continue coach rep teams. As such, they will do anything for him including voting out executive members that go against Graham. At the AGM you could tell how the executive was run, as when Graham was challenged; Adam Collins, Alex Taggert and especially Travis Cox became angry and defensive while Graham sat silent with a smirk on his face. Parents are afraid of retribution, and his manager Trevor Bolt will do anything to keep his son on the team. Last year when Bolts son was cut by Graham he would tell anyone in the arena what a bully Graham was. This year, he seems to be his biggest supporter to keep his son playing. This goes to show how Graham runs his team, grown adults are afraid to speak out and will continue to defend abhorrent behaviour. Graham is known to swear and put down his players during games and practices when they are losing. It is heard from the parents side of the arena, as well as the lobby when he is in the changeroom. His language would be inappropriate with adults, yet he feels he can speak to children like that. What is he teaching the kids? The amount of players, coaches, refs and executive members he has chased away is unbelievable. This past year there has been a steady decline in the amount of refs the association has due to his behaviour of swearing, belittling and putting down of the players and officials. He even had to bring his friend from outside the association to become the referee in chief because the previous one quit because of his behaviour. This guy is a complete bully. He yells and swears at his players, other teams, and refs. He acts childish when he doesn’t get his way, and goes out of the way to make anyones life a living hell who doesn’t back him. He is the definition of a bully. He and his buddies on the exec that are backing him need to go, especially his manager who is the most 2 faced person out there. Slime attracting slime.

I wholeheartedly support this blight's termination, or his resignation, whichever comes first. For too long he has intimidated, bullied, harassed and belittled the players, parents and coaches. When challenged, he maliciously and vexatiously silenced or terminated anyone who called out his unethical behaviours. His lack of transparency and accountability towards his vile antics is disgusting, and should no long be tolerated. Too many incredible people have left EMHA due to this man, and it's time he leaves. You have my full support.

I’m no longer a member of EMHA, but I can assure you that during my children’s time there, Graham was nothing but a self serving narcissist who would do anything to better his own agenda. Including belittling young children and bullying their parents. Once we made our way to another hockey association, we realized how toxic an environment he single handily made EMHA. Time to go and refocus the association on the mandate of providing a health environment for youth hockey.

It about time that this association take action to clean up hockey in Essa. Dozens of executives and dozens of officials have been lost to the actions of one man and his lynch mob. He was given the opportunity to hold himself accountable and to change his ways over the years to align himself with the beliefs of Hockey Canada. He could not commit to any change.

This should have happened years ago. This guy is a cancer. The current executive needs to be completely abolished by Hockey Canada/ OMHA and OHF. All the other small centres are amalgamating and this exec refused to because they want control of who plays where. The executive that have left, did it because of this guy. The executive stayed because they have an agenda and this guy will make it happen as long as you don’t go against him. This guy may as well be the definition of retribution and bullying. If you go against him, he and his exec buddies will just vote you out or suspend, or make your life a living hell until you quit. People need to see the 57 page OMHA report submitted by the risk manager about his bullying and antics. When they found out, they just suspended the risk manager for 13months. Just enough time for them to vote in a new manager who is buddies with them. This association needs to go.

What a shame when a team sport for kids that needs collaboration and team work to be successful, has people in leadship that do not know the meaning of the word.

This person is only on the executive for selfish reasons.

As a former EMHA Executive member, I can attest to the corruption that this motion speaks of. Vice Present Baird is the reason I resigned my position 2 years ago. It is time he is held accountable for his behaviour. I wholeheartedly support this motion!

He should have been removed after he asked my son if he had a good time finger banging his girlfriend because the next time he missed practice would be replaced.
