They actually listened and we get to wear the blue and white robes just like we wanted. My phone has been vibrating all morning and I honestly cannot believe it really happened. We should definitely keep an eye out to make sure they stick to the plan but for now …
It is tradition that the graduating class at Brien McMahon high school wears white and blue gowns. At our last McMahon event we should be able to wear the two colors that represent our school and show our schools diversity. We are all very proud of our high school and graduation should be a happy time for all of us.
I just saw the number hit one hundred and honestly my brain is spinning a bit because I never thought this many people cared about the gown colors. White and blue just feels so right for us and I am trying to figure out how to get the administration to actually listen now.

I honestly cannot believe how many of you think the blue and white gowns matter as much as I do because I was just sitting here drinking coffee and staring at the screen in total shock. It is honestly so cool that we are all on the same page about how our graduation needs to look and I feel like the administration might finally have to pay attention.

I really need everyone to blast this link out right now because the administration is watching the tracker and we have to hit that two hundred fifty mark before the meeting starts. It would be so cool to see all those blue and white gowns together again but we need to keep this momentum going if we want them to actually listen to us.

This makes no sense. The future graduates should have had a say in this decision since it is THEIR graduation.
Very bad move on administrations' part. I'm very disappointed with administration. As parents, we should all go to the next Parent's Club meeting on March 14th and voice our disgust.

What is this world coming to! BMHS has always been Blue and White and should remain that way forever. Class of '75. I totally agree ONCE A SENATOR ALWAYS A SENATOR. Best days of my life and proud to wear those colors.

I have a junior at bmhs and she came home very upset about the change in gown Colors. Her solution to diversity in the school was use the schools 3 Colors red white and blue and let each student choose which Color they would like to wear.

Even as a Norwalk High graduate, its not just tradition at McMahon but tradition in all of Norwalk and many other schools. Wear your school's colors with pride. You only get one high school graduation, why would you rather remember disagreement over colors than the ceremony and moment itself?

Keep it two colors! 3 of my kids graduated from McMahon and I want to see my grandchildren in traditional blue and white when they graduate!

As an alumnus, I think it's really sad to see fifty years of tradition lost to a very small group. Tyranny of the minority at its worst.

This is bs. our new geo tag on snapchat says "Tradition starts here" . Why are you changing that? It's about EVERYONES* opinion not just the 5 students running the government.
