This is ridiculous! Knowing with the schools and state line so close it's not at all uncommon to have family living on the Tennessee side or the Virginia side. Change the dates of the two graduations so that all families can attend any child's graduation whether it be on the Tennessee side or the Virginia side.

In a small town I am sure many people have family members at both schools. Definitely should be different days/times.

Being those schools are so close I definitely see a problem with the graduations being the same day. That's not fair to the families who have students graduating from both sides. Nor is it fair to the students who have worked their entire life for that proud moment of their family seeing them cross that stage for their diploma. Please look at the bigger picture and do what's right for the families but most of all the students!!

This is sad that the schools would change what they have been doing for years.

Kids from each school like to attend the other graduation also. Remember this is for the children and their accomplishments

What’s the point in celebrating a graduation if the people you live can’t be there?!

We as adults can not continue to live in contradictories when it’s convenient. Bristol can not hold the honor of being a Twin City, Good Place to Live, when it’s convenient to show how well the two cities, two states, can work together for the greater good... all while showing children that no common ground can be achieved and making people choose which graduation should take precedence. Unfortunately, family members can’t be in two places at one time like they can on State St. Please show these Children that their happiness and overall success is more important than any other justifications people are making for the inability to compromise. To want unity you must show unity!

This affects us as a whole. Because i have nieces and nephews graduating at the same time. How do you pick whose graduation you'll attend. Nit fair at all! What was wring with keeping Tennessee Highs graduatuon in the morning? We'll miss that special moment with pictures and memories.

I prefer the graduations to be on separate days during the same weekend. It allows me to attend all of my family and friends kids graduation.

I am not affected by this but believe that the schools should make the effort to suppor these families.

All though I am not affected by this, I do feel for the families that will have to decide between two or more students. I would hate to be in that predicament as a friend or family member. If your grandmother had two grandchildren graduating this year at different schools would you want her to miss yours because she was attending the other grandchild graduation. I hope this is changed for all that is involved!
