To graduate is an accomplishment that they worked hard for. It's a fun tradition that is harmless. Put some guidelines on it and let them do it!

I also think if it's done tastefully it should be allowed.

These kids have worked hard the last four years for their diplomas. Why not let them express themselves. It doesn't hurt anyone and lots of them show off where they are going to college. Montello High School allows it just with little stipulations.

I see no problem with this. As long as guidelines are set to make sure they are appropriate. There is such a small class size, allow them to make good choices

I think the kids should do what they want on their graduation.

I think that kids should be able to decorate their grad caps especially if their parents paid for them. Why is it such a big deal, as long as they aren't using offensive or inappropriate words!

Who is graduation for? The students or the community/parents? It is a day to celebrate the students, therefor there is no reason they shouldn't be able to decorate their caps!

My niece graduated from Omro and they could decorate.. it was neat to see the mix of their interests and future ambitions on them... I think the plan on administrator review and the kids turning them in is well thought out and will keep them appropriate...

This is ridiculous!!! It's your graduation you should do what you want as long as it's not nudity or profanity. This is a public school not a private school! I'm sure it has been written in the "student hand book" since last year. What happened to freedom of speech? I think there are bigger problems to worry about than what's on your cap or what you wear for shoes. I heard some pretty nasty things last year at graduation from faculty, nothing that I will share at this time. You only graduate from high school once..

I agree that as long as the caps are decorated tastefully then there shouldn't be an issue.

I believe that when students are excited about decorating their caps for graduation it is an extension of the enthusiasm they have for life and their future. How can that be a bad thing?

As long as it's kept tasteful, I see no reason why they can't be allowed to do this.
