We the undersigned call for Hampshire Primary Care Trust to review its decision to re-locate out-of-hours GP services to Basingstoke.
There is limited bus services to Basingstoke on Saturdays, no service on Sundays and Bank Holidays. No direct rail link. A typical single taxi fare from Alton to Basingstoke is £30.
Out-of-hours GP services could be run from the local Alton Community Hospital which also has x-ray facilities on site. This is what localism is all about.
