Governor Newsom: as a long time watershed volunteer, I have come to the conclusion that only government action can resolve the issues facing our watersheds. We cannot leave those decisions up to entities whose only concern is the bottom line. Please drop your support for voluntary agreements and get a water management plan in place that will support riparian habitat and species instead of the unequal distribution for the sake of profit.

The science has told us for years that the bay-delta needs more water and at the right times of year. Agriculture is important, but not at the expense of the natural environment upon which we all depend. Agricultural and industrial interests need to use more water-efficient methods and allow more water to flow through the bay-delta.

Please help conserve the vibrancy and life in the San Francisco Bay area Delta. Keep the Bay Area's aquatic ecosystem healthy, by increasing the amount of water going into the health of the Delta including salmon and other wildlife, and less reserved for agriculture.
You have been a great Governor in many aspects. I know you will do the right thing for the environment.

Please get behind the State Water Board and support their implementation of the Bay Delta Water Quality Control Plan. Voluntary Agreements is NOT the way to go, in fact it is bringing the Bay and the Delta ecosystems to the brink of collapse. Please work to save California's rivers and wetlands!!!!
