Governor McAuliffe -- Virginia Needs Redistricting Reform!

This needs to be fixed!!! You cannot cherrypick who votes & where---unconstitutional--just wonder how gerrymandering even started, period?

This is absolutely necessary. For too long, elected officials have been chosen their constituents rather than the constituents choosing their officials.

It is time Virginia's government reflect the true composition of the populace and their views rather than an artificial construct developed through artificial and self-serving gerrymandering.

Virginia's districts reinforce polarization.

Democracy works when people and their community are properly represented in the legislature. Rampant gerrymandering has led to a House and Senate that is not representative of the views of Virginians and obstructs good legislation. There is no room for accountability. That is not democracy.

Incumbents drawing their own districts is an invitation to oligarchy. That's pretty much where we are.
