Governor McAuliffe -- Virginia Needs Redistricting Reform!

I live in one of the most gerrymandered districts in the US--Virginia's 5th. PLEASE do everything possible to have an independent commission or court redraw Virginia's district boundaries.

For the future of our kids education, clean water, women's rights please end gerrymandering

Gerrymandering has now proved to be a major enemy to democracy

The only way that democracy works is if it represents the people and the people select its leaders. Gerrymandering is the opposite of this, with the government selecting its constituents.

I live in District 10 along wil voters tjat live an hour and a half away, at the far edge of the state. How do we share the same issues? No, we are gerrymandered to silence our more liberal views.

We desperately need to address gerrymandering so faith can be restored in our election system.

Please, for all that is sane in the Commonwealth, we need to get redistricting out of the hands of the politicians and into the responsibility of a non-partisan commission.

This is one reform that all citizens of Virginia (outside of entrenched legislators) can get behind.

Absolutely Virginia needs redistricting reform and this issue should be in all local papers, explaining what Gerrymandering is to Virginia citizens and suing if necessary.

Gerrymandering is a tactic of political cowardice, and is antithetical to democracy- manipulation does not equal success.

We'd like to choose our representatives rather than have them continue to pick their constituents.

We need to put this to a vote.
